
The Dental Assistant Program is designed to prepare students to assist in the organized delivery of dental services. The skills and knowledge presented will support the graduate in the pursuit of a career as an entry-level Dental Assistant. Those skills include fundamental chair-side and administrative skills along with infection control procedures.
The Associate of Science Dental Assistant Degree Program will also prepare the graduate to seek an entry-level Dental Assistant position. In addition, the skills and knowledge learned may provide future opportunities in office management. Emphasis will be in giving the student a solid foundation in areas of healthcare compliance, communication, healthcare ethics, and office supervision.
Each course stands alone as a unit of study and is not dependent upon prerequisite training. A student may enter the program at the beginning of any course and continue through the sequence until completion of all courses.The unpaid externship is undertaken following the successful completion of all classroom training.
Upon completion of either the Associate of Science Degree or the Diploma Program, graduates may seek such specific positions as Chair-side Assistant, Front Office Appointment Coordinator, Hygiene Assistant, or Sterilization Assistant.The Bryman School of Arizona representatives are standing by to answer your questions.
